How do I insert the license file into Avast Premier, Avast Internet Security or Avast Pro Antivirus?
Licenses for Avast Premier, Avast Internet Security and Avast Pro Antivirus can be purchased via our website, www.avast.com.

After receiving your license file, you just need to double-click to open it and your license will be inserted into your program automatically.

Alternatively, save the license file on your computer, open the Avast Premier, Avast Internet Security or Avast Pro Antivirus interface, from the main menu select 'Settings', then 'Subscription' and click 'Insert license file'. A dialog window will open where you can browse your computer to locate your license file. Once you have located it, double click on it and it will be automatically inserted into the program.

Avast Premier, Avast Internet Security or Avast Pro Antivirus can now continue to be used for 12, 24, or 36 months, depending on the purchased license, and you will continue to receive automatic updates to both the program and your virus definitions. At the end of that time, it will be necessary simply to purchase and insert a new license key.

What should I do if Avast rejects my purchased license as invalid?
If the Avast rejects purchased license as invalid please proceed as follows:

Submit a request to resend the license to the e-mail address provided when Avast was purchased and try to insert this license into the program.

If the license insertion fails, uninstall Avast using the Avast Uninstall Utility and restart your computer.

Download and install the appropriate product version of Avast related to the purchased license. Once again try to insert the license into the Avast .

I've just purchased an Avast product but I have not received the license. How can I get the license?
You can usually find the license in the Order Confirmation email that was sent to you when you submitted the order. If you do not have your Order Confirmation email, you can get your license by looking up your order, or you can request it via this webform using the e-mail address provided during the Avast product purchase.
Can I transfer a license for Avast antivirus to another computer?
Yes, you can. If you are no longer using your paid subscription on the previous computer, you can activate the license on another computer for the remainder of the subscription period. The only limitation is that you cannot use a single license simultaneously on more than one computer.
I have inserted a valid license into Avast, but Avast SecureLine tells me that the license is expired. Why?
Avast SecureLine is integrated in Avast as an extra service and requires a separate license. To activate the service, please ensure that you have also purchased the license for Avast SecureLine.
